TB Forum 2014: meeting of the Organizing Committee of the XIX International Forum "Security and Safety Technologies"

Within the framework of the meeting the most urgent problems concerning the safety and security of the facilities, infrastructure, business, citizens and country have been brought up for discussion.
A.V. Miroshkin, General Director of Groteck media company (organizer of TB Forum), reported that as a result of consultations with the members of the Organizing Committee there has been formed a draft program of 32 events, which acknowledges the Forum as bearing the status of the biggest congress in Russia covering the entire spectrum of security issues.
The focus of the Forum’s program and exposition is centered on the issues concerning the security of the facilities of transport, fuel-and-energy complex, industrial companies, trading networks, banks, municipal services, education and social sector. Priority is given to ensuring the safety of citizens during public events, fighting against cybercrime, fire protection, as well as to using the most advanced technical video surveillance tools in combating the crime.
D.E. Galochkin, Member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, said that as part of preparation of the II Russian meeting of Non-state security sector (on February 11, 2014, on the platform of TB Forum it is planned to gather more than 1,000 representatives of Non-State Security Agencies, city administrations and local internal affairs bodies) more than 10 events during September-December of this year are scheduled
S.A. Ryabov, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, informed the Organizing Committee that S.V. Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs, has supported the idea of including the Conference "Content Analysis and Content-Filtration Technologies and Fight against Cyberterrorism" into the plan of activities to be undertaken by Russia in 2014 within the framework of holding its G8 presidency.
A.V. Kuts, Deputy Director of Federal Service for Technical and Export Control (FSTEC of Russia) has announced the Service's intention to expand a TB Forum 2014 collective exposition and submit a greater number of new developments of the FSTEC licensees within it.
A.E. Dodonov, Chairman of Russian Industrial Association of Employers “Fire and Rescue Sector Chamber”, have reported on the Association’s decision to support TB Forum, to enter into its Organizing Committee, to render assistance in the formation of representative exposition “Fire Safety” and to host three events.
V.V. Shipilov, Executive Director of the Association of Russian Banks, has informed the Organizing Committee on the launched activities in the preparation of the next conference dedicated to the topic of financial institutions security to be held on the second day of the Forum and expected to gather More than 150 representatives of the leading banks of the country.
I.V. Lisovoy, Deputy Executive Director of the Association “GLONASS/GNSS-Forum”, has announced the Association’s decision to conduct a full-scale conference "GLONASS for improving the security and manageability of the national economy sectors" at the Forum venue and its intention to attract the participation of the leading navigation technology developers in the exposition and conference program of the Forum.
D.G. Kazantsev, representative of the CIS Anti-Terrorist Center, has reported on the decision of Police Colonel General A.P. Novikov, the Center’s Head, on an International Symposium "Protection of critical fuel and energy complex facilities against terrorist threats: national experience and international cooperation" to be conducted in the framework of TB Forum, with the participation of representatives of the Commonwealth countries, international organizations and companies belonging to the fuel and energy complex sector, as well as on a private meeting of heads of the CIS anti-terrorist organizations dedicated to a work plan of the CIS Anti-Terrorist Center to be held in the framework of TB Forum.
The Organizing Committee’s meeting was also attended by representatives of the Russian Interior Ministry, Federal Customs Service, Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Atomic Supervision, other ministries and agencies.
The members of the Organizing Committee recommended to the Forum’s Directorate to submit the most advanced technologies and innovative methods of providing security within the framework of the exposition.
V.A. Ozerov, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, has supported the initiatives of the Organizing Committee members on preparation of the legislative initiatives aiming to strengthen the security of Russia and its citizens.

“Over the past years the Security and Safety Technologies Forum has become one of the most important events for the domestic and foreign manufacturers of high-tech equipment in the field of security, for the representatives of federal and regional government agencies, local authorities, for the scientific and non-state organizations.
As a Chairman of the Organizing Committee, I expect that as a result of the work conducted within the forum and conferences there shall be produced the specific proposals for further improvement of legal and regulatory framework which we would be able to use in our legislative work, and which would undoubtedly contribute to the strengthening of the facilities and entrepreneurship security, safety of a person, as well as the security of Russia as a whole.”
The XIX International Forum "Security and Safety Technologies" will be held on 11-14 February 2014 at Crocus Expo, Pavilion 2, Hall 8.
