The 14th Dongguan China Shoes. China Shoetec Successfully Concluded
International Exhibition Centre, Houjie, Dongguan. The number of visitor has increased significantly due to the intensive promotion
and aggressive buyer invitation. To attract more overseas buyers, the fair was held concurrently with Canton fair and the visitor
promotion at the emerging markets, such as SE Asia & Middle East were reinforced. On the other hand, to support enterprises to explore
business in China market, organizers not only strengthened visitor promotion in China, but also provided a series of concurrent
activities related to China domestic market, such as fashion show and professional seminars.
Buyers Highly Appreciate China Shoes
Mr. Huo Yaogen, Development Manager of the well-known corporation RUSTY LOPEZ, said, "We've found numerous suitable exhibitors for
footwear and materials, and now we are discussing for further cooperation and placing some sample orders. We are glad to find new
collections here."
Mr. Loganathan Kanbaya, Director of Stepcare Footwear SDN BHD (Malaysia) also commented the exhibition: "There're more overseas
international brands this year, the exhibition is getting more internationalized. We will definitely come back next year."
Mr. John Chan, Operation Director of Gem-A Leather House (Philippine), said he has met several promising exhibitors and intended to
cooperate. He also stated that the trend releases by WGSN and Ytrends provided the latest industry information, which significantly
help the development of the whole industry.
Ms. Zhang Meihuan, Buyer of Denmark Ecco Limited (Dongguan Representative Office) expressed:" I've found a pretty good supplier and
their price is reasonable."
Visitors and buyers also praised China Shoes' attentive visitor services like free shuttle bus travel between Hong Kong, Shenzhen,
Guangzhou and Canton Fair, free hotel accommodation service, VIP express admission, priority to attend trend releases/seminars, VIP
kit, VIP lounge, free Starbucks coffee and other caring services. "Visitor services of China Shoes are much better than many other
exhibitions," said Mr. Fan Zhijun, Business Manager of Future Shoes Co., Ltd.
Exhibitors Satisfied with the Exhibiting Result
As one of the top ten exhibitions in Dongguan, China Shoes attracted 436 exhibitors from China and abroad to present fashionable
footwear for 2012 Spring/Summer, high-end leather accessories, materials as well as advanced shoes making machines. More than 90%
exhibitors satisfied with the exhibiting result, especially admire the exhibition is held concurrent with Canton Fair which bring more
overseas buyers to the fair. Mr. Zhang, Manager of Noki International Trading Co., Ltd, which is a ladies footwear manufacturer and
trader, said they've got RMB200,000 turnover during the exhibition period. They will continue to attend China Shoes next year. Mr.
Chen, Manager of Chaoan Anbu Chengshi Shoes Products Factory, is happy with the exhibiting result, especially for meeting a former
overseas client again whom has lost contacts for long.
In addition, with the rising of income and consuming power in mainland China, there are growing request and demand of international
brands. Therefore, China Shoes introduced numerous famous footwear brands to the exhibition to meet the market needs as well as assist
the brands to explore China markets. These brands include Tatuaggi, Beepi, Emozioni, Cerutti, I Fit Park, Aruba & Voodoosoul,
Sabatina, Billete, Chch, Mandi, Kuari, etc.
International Brands and Hong Kong Young Designers' Creative Works Deliver Inspirations and Business Opportunities
During the exhibition, the world's leading fashion trend forecasting authority WSGN has given forecast on "S/S 12 Women's Footwear &
Accessories and Beyond", while GDS's official trend release institution Ytrends presented lectures on "How to Set Up a Successful
Footwear Design Department", "Young Fashion Footwear Trends A/W 2012/13", "Young Fashion Footwear Trends S/S 2013" and "Eco Footwear
Developments (Concerning Materials, Construction and Distribution)".
On the other hand, a series of seminars were arranged to present hot topics on China's domestic sales. Mr. Henrik Spandet-Moeller from
Denmark, author of "Danish Fashion Going Global"; Mr. Michael Ng, senior brand and retail consultant; Dr. Liu Wing Sun, renowned
lecturer of the Institute of Textiles and Clothing, Hong Kong Polytechnic University; representatives from CCT Consumer Testing
Technology and CTC Group gave lectures ranging from transformation from production company to branded retail, domestic markets,
differentiate positioning and footwear testing regulations in US and EU respectively. The lectures get enthusiastic response from
visitors.
Fabulous fashion shows were held to present the latest collections from various exhibitors, and "Designer Corner" showed creative
works like shoes, bags, accessories and clothes from Hong Kong's young designers, which gave much inspiration for the industry.
