Chemical properties: 3-chloro-1, 2-propylene glycol partially decomposed when heated to 140~142℃. It is oxidized with concentrated nitric acid to produce 3-chloro-lactic acid. Chloro-acetaldehyde is produced by oxidation of potassium periodate in dilute nitric acid solution. Dehydrochlorination of 3-chloro-1, 2-propylene glycol to produce glycidyl. Glycerol is gradually hydrolyzed to form when it is refluxed with water for a long time. Glycerol-α-monoalkyl ether is formed under the action of alkoxy compounds equivalent to primary alcohols.
